Ammonia,

without compromise.

Facet Amtech is developing a novel catalyst-enabled process designed to simplify clean ammonia production and reduce the cost and complexity that have held wider adoption back.

Clean ammonia for the energy transition.

Ammonia is one of the world’s most important industrial chemicals. It underpins fertiliser production and is increasingly seen as a critical enabler in the energy transition.

Today, most ammonia is produced using fossil fuels. That creates a major challenge: the world depends on ammonia, but conventional production comes with high emissions, high energy use, and growing cost pressure.

Clean ammonia will be essential — but only if it can be produced at industrial scale and at commercially viable cost.

What we do

A new pathway for clean ammonia

Facet Amtech is developing a breakthrough process to produce ammonia directly from water and air.

Enabled by our proprietary catalyst and plant design, our approach is intended to reduce the cost and complexity of clean ammonia production while supporting industrial scalability. By simplifying the process architecture, we aim to unlock a more practical and commercially viable route to low-emissions ammonia.

That means less infrastructure, less complexity, and a clearer path to affordable clean ammonia.

Why it matters

Lower cost. Lower complexity. Greater scalability.

Traditional ammonia production faces a difficult trade-off: high emissions from incumbent processes, or cleaner alternatives that can be capital-intensive and difficult to scale.

Facet Amtech is working to change that through a process designed for:

Lower cost — reducing the capex and opex barriers to clean ammonia

Industrial familiarity — built in a format that aligns with real-world industrial deployment

Scalability — supporting a pathway to larger-scale production

Lower emissions — helping enable cleaner ammonia production for future demand

Why the industry needs a new solution

Ammonia producers are under increasing pressure from emissions, energy costs, regulation, and fossil fuel volatility.

The market does not just need cleaner ammonia. It needs a pathway that is commercially realistic, operationally scalable, and compatible with industrial deployment.

Facet Amtech is being built to help meet that need.
